Abstract (EN)
In this study, it was aimed to compare meat yield and nutrient content of 40 male and female rainbow trout taken from ponds and cage units of two aquaculture companies located in Kayseri and Kahramanmaraş. According to the results of the study; the highest meat yield was found in females in the pond unit of Kahramanmaraş with 55.70 % and the lowest meat yield was in pond unit males from the company in Kayseri with 47.17%.When all males and females were compared, it was found that female individuals had higher meat yield and no significant difference was found between the groups of pools and cages. The highest condition value (1.55) was determined in Kahramanmaraş, cage male group although there was no significant difference in other groups. HSI values were higher in male individuals and VSI values were higher in cage groups. Protein values are generally higher in females. The highest protein values; were found in Kahramanmaraş-cage-female (20.16 %), Kahramanmaraş-pond-female (20.11 %) and Kayseri-cage-female (19.89 %) groups and the highest lipid values were found in the group of Kahramanmaraş-cage-male (7.36%) and Kahramanmaraş-pool-male (7.16 %). The highest humidity was observed in Kayseri-pool-male group with 75.84 %. The proportion of crude ash did not differ between the groups.
