Abstract (EN)
In this study, visits were paid to two state museums in Kazakhstan to examine the ceramics exhibited there. The examination deals with the form, paste structure and texture of the ceraamics. It has been observed that the Saka period ceramics have different paste colors and textures, although their forms vary. Mostly plain and undecorated samples were found. In the study, in addition to the red color of most of the artifacts belonging to the Saka period, burn marks were detected on the ceramic surface of the samples that were exposed to excessive heat during firing. Apart from its red clay, it is also available in pinkish-red and gray colored samples. Keywords: Kazakhstan, Saka, ceramics, clay
