Özet (EN)

The objective of the study was to assess the environmental and economic consequences of NPP construction in Kazakhstan, as well as their impact on the environment and local population. The methods included environmental risk analysis, economic modeling and sociological surveys. The results showed moderate environmental risks (water consumption, radiation threat, waste management) and a dual economic effect: short-term benefits (jobs, taxes) versus long-term costs and dependency. The sociological survey revealed a low level of public trust (45% are concerned about the risks, 30% expect benefits). Correlation analysis confirmed a weak relationship between awareness and support for the project. The findings indicate the need for a comprehensive strategy that includes international cooperation, increased environmental control and involvement of local communities. It is recommended to study alternative energy sources and the long-term effects of NPPs on ecosystems and health.
