Abstract (EN)

Kamâl Mohammad Ali BİSHR was born in a small village in Egypt in 1921 to a farmer family. He received his primary, secondary and undergraduate education in Egypt. He stayed in England for 7 years for postgraduate education. After completing his master's and doctorate degrees there, Bishr returned to Egypt to teach at the Department of Semitic and Eastern Languages, Faculty of Dâru'l-'Ulum, Cairo University. Bishr, one of the most well-known Arab linguists of his time, compared language to a living organism in terms of its development. In this respect, he stated that Arabic is not at the level it deserves, and that the Arab society cannot speak Arabic properly and introduce it to the world. For this reason, he devoted almost all of his life to explaining Arabic properly and making it the language of science and culture as it was in his old period. For this purpose, he participated in many TV and radio channels of the period, both as a presenter and as a guest, in the programs of speaking Arabic properly. Again for this purpose, he was the founding chairman of many associations in his country, became a member of associations serving this purpose, and was awarded many valuable awards in response to these efforts. Bishr, who gave his most successful works in the field of phonology, has recently been written in the Arabic language, and his book titled 'Ilmu'l-Asvât', which he wrote in this field, has been accepted as the most important work in this field.
