They reflect the atmosphere of their time via using their own, talented, identified and inspiring way of writing.Kemal Tahir refers the social and political developments, that he observes closely during the time he wrote his nineteen novels and sometimes in a critical way, sometimes in a constructive way he gives information. Furthermore in his novels besides the women who have strong characters in terms of personality, administration and can be called as ?Otoman Woman? are first appealed, the women- who feel responsibility for their nation, country and the people around them, devote their lives to these values ? are also handled. It?s also particularly an attractive point that all the women idealized in his novels have these devoted values.In his novels, Kemal Tahir applies for the characters of ideal women just as he sets forth the women who have tendency to commit a crime or who are criminals. He also handles the situation of women who are arrested or imprisoned, sometimes feeling pity and sometimes in a criticizing approach for these ?drama lived? members of society.The novelist, aims to handle education system and evaluates the policy followed in education with the presence of Village Institute Schools in the country in his ?Bozkırdaki Çekirdek? book. He claims that these schools don?t attribute much for the education life of the country but they serve for the political aims of the government. Nonetheless, readers rarely come up with much information about education, or the components of education in his works. Especially in his village and prison groups of novels; the society is generally seen with its illiteracy and the misbelief in result. The author, generally gives place for educated people especially in his historical type of books, still the information about education of such characters is not detailed.In Kemal Tahir?s books, from a large variety of social life, very different women figures and the problems they live are described. According to the writer; the main reason for such problems is, the passive role of women they take both in their private and social life. Moreover not giving the deserved value to women in a man dominated society and the general view regarding them as a sexual object are also thought within the reasons of these problems. While reflecting this situation on women in his novels, it is explained by the importance of education for women, through the events and the reactions against the events.
