Özet (EN)

According to our study desing, we set three groups. Group I and II got hydrocloric acide (HCI) intravesically in consantration of 0.4 N, 0.2 ml. In the next step, group I treated by ozone intravesically in consantration of 20-25 mcg/ml plus 2 ml isotonic saline solution at two times a weak. However, group II treated by sole 2 ml isotonic saline solution intravesically. Group III was set as sham group and got only isotonic saline solution intravesically. Moreover, we subdivided each group as group Ia, IIa, IIIa and group Ib, IIb, IIIb in order to outline short term versus long term therapeutic effects. According to methodology; the experimental animal on each group were applied cystectomy and sacrified after one weeks (two doses treatment) and 3 weeks (six doses treatment). The material were eveluated histopathology. According to our result, group Ia and Ib had showed that mucosal integrity and the basement membrane of bladder were protected well enaugh aditionally the cells related with inflamation were seen attenuated. Hovewer, in group IIa and IIb, it was clearly evident that mucosal integrity and the basement membrane destroyed. Likewisely, cells releated with inflamation were accumulated at the basement membran at aforementioned group. In the light of our findings, intravesically ozone being with its lower cost and acceptable side effect, could be new modality on treatment of chemically induced cystitis. Being related with experimental model, we believe it could be as alternative treatment for interstitial cystitis. However it will needed more complicated and detailed investigated study. Key words: Experimental, Chemical cystitis, Ozone
