Abstract (EN)

The main purpose of this study is to examine the mediating role of emotion dysregulation in the relationship between personality and nutrition habits. In addition, it was also aimed to examine whether the nutritional habits differ according to socio-demographic variables. The sample of the study consisted of 394 participants between the ages of 18 and 40, who were determined by non-random convenient sampling. In order to collect data, for this; "Three-Factor Eating Questionnaire" was used to determine the eating habits of the participants, "Hexaco Personality Inventory Short Form" was used to determine personality traits, "Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale Short Form" was used to determine the difficulty levels in emotion regulation, and "Personal Information Form" was used to determine demographic information. The data obtained within the scope of the research were analyzed by IBM SPSS Statistics 23 and IBM SPSS AMOS 23 programs; for the analyses, T-Test for independent groups, One-Way Analysis of Variance, Pearson Product-Moment Correlation and Path Analysis were implenmented. As a result of the analyses, it was established that emotion dysregulation played a partial mediating role in the relationshıp beetwen honesty, emotionality, extraversion and adaptability, which are the dimensios of personality and nutrition habits.
