It is important for understanding behaviour of staff to increasing organization?s effectiveness. Personality is a base of human behaviour. Power distance is a result from relationships between staffs. In this study comprises whether staff?s personality traits as independent variable has an influence on power distance in the organizations, and if so the level of this influence.The study includes a literature analysis related to declared case, investigation of existing studies, exploration of the related concepts and furhter investigation by a field study. In this context, it is aimed at examining whether personality, which is shaped by heredity and environmental conditions, plays a role on power distribution in organizations, and the level of influence that personality has on the power distance.In the first section of this study, the literature which is related to psychology and organizational behavior fields will be reviewed and published studies about personality and inventories which provide measure of personality will be looked over. In the second section, the concept of power will be searched in sociology and organizational behavior fields within the context of its determinants and sources. In the third section, results of the field study will be offered, and in the fourth section results and suggestions will be discussed.
