Özet (EN)
Nowadays, it is seen that the Massive Open Online Course (MOOCs) environments are gradually increasing and gaining importance. However, the inadequacy of the research conducted in these environments is noteworthy. Purpose of the research; the aim of this course is to evaluate the participants in terms of environmental factors and autonomous learning potentials and to investigate these elements in terms of the number of participants and the completion of the courses and to determine the effect of autonomous learning on the MOOCs. In accordance with this purpose, 208 participants including students and instructors of Fırat University and also teachers working at The Provincial Directorate of National Education in Elazığ and Çermik in 2018-2019 academic year constitute sampling of this research paper. Participants' information sheet prepared by the researcher, opinion survey about learning environment of MOOCs and Learner Autonomy Scale were used as data collection tools. Collected data were analyzed using SPSS Statistics 24.0. and independent samples t test, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, frequency and percentage analysis and analysis of variance were used for data analysis. For interpretation of the data, .05 was accepted as the significance level. As the results of the research are examined, it is observed that the attendance and completion status of the MOOCs' participants varies according to gender, age and graduation status. When the results of the research are examined, it is seen that the participation and completion status of the KADS varies according to gender, age and graduation status. Furthermore, in the light of the data obtained from the autonomous learning scale, it was concluded that the level of autonomous learning positively influenced the participation and completion of these courses. It was found that individuals with high autonomous learning potential were open to new learning experiences and were more inclined to benefit from SCRD environments.
