The descriptions of war in the classical period of Ottoman and artistic applications in Antalya

Although the information on the establishment years of Ottoman Empire is insufficient, it is known that there is a wide knowledge of written sources about the following periods. It is known that wars, castle and city sieges, landings carried out by sultans or viziers chosen as commanders were depicted in most of the Ottoman miniatures appeared in the history related works of the written sources. Miniaturists sometimes depicted these wars, campaigns, sieges of the Ottoman army by observing the events themselves and they sometimes depicted their miniatures based on the manuscript texts. They were always careful to reflect the truth in both methods. As it is known, in the second half of the 16th century, the classical form of Ottoman miniature was created by a different new fiction and simple visual expression in the Ottoman shahnamehs prepared in the Ottoman nakkashane. The miniaturist, who made this formation, was Ustad Osman. Towards the end of the 16th century, Miniaturist Hasan became the chief miniaturist of the nakkashane in the Ottoman Palace. The style of Miniaturist Hasan was different from the other miniaturists. The second work depicting the Ottoman wars apart from the Shahnamehs were gazaname or gazavatnames. The number of these works increased in the early 17th century. Ottoman miniaturists reflected the depictions of the wars, sieges and landings at the end of the 16th century and at the beginning of the 17th century accurately and creatively with their compositions. Each of these images is a document. Antalya, a long-established port city, has maintained its importance from the moment it was founded until the present day. It has been dominated by many powers throughout history. The city was besieged for the first time by Kılıç Arslan II, but could not be taken over. It was conquered during the second reign of Gıyasettin Keyhüsrev in 1207. Thus, Turkey Seljuks had a port city and the political and economic rise of the state continued. In this study, the periods of Ottoman Turkish Miniature art were examined and it was necessary to periodically examine the manuscripts of war-depicted manuscripts in the classical period. Due to the fact that it is very difficult to examine all the war manuscripts of the Ottoman period, it will be useful to catalog the miniatures of war-depicted miniatures in classical manuscripts and to gain the data obtained from the scientific world.
