Abstract (EN)

This master thesis involves some important information and determinations about the industrial product organization in the Ottoman Empire in the classical period. This study consists of three main chapters without introduction and conclusion.The first chapter includes some important information about the supply of raw material in the Ottoman industrial produc organization. Especially at this chapter we discussed which methods were used to supply the timber for the ship building; the iron for the casting of gun and cannonball; and the saltpeter for the production of gunpowder.The second chapter submits the information about the workforce organization of the industrial production. In this chapter the determinations become dense on the technical workforce, military workforce and vocational workforce (for crafts).The third chapter is about the transportation of the raw materials and the products to the destination. This chapter especially involves the information for the transportation of overland, maritime, lake and river.This study is an origin study directly written by the Ottoman archive documents (the registers of Mühimme and the code of laws).Key Words: the Ottoman Empire, industry, workforce, raw material, transportation,
