Abstract (EN)
The seasonal variations of epilithic algal samples taken from Güzler and Nasuhdede stations along Kılıçözü stream, and some physical and chemical properties of the water which had influence on these changes were investigated between April 2011 and March 2012. The abundance of algae was influenced by the physical and chemical parameters. The highest organism densities were observed in May-November, excluding April at the Güzler station; and in April-November excluding August and September at the Nasuhdede station.Throughtout the research, 87 % of the total organisms comprised of diatoms. At the end of the studies, a total of 36 species were identified. Diatoma vulgaris, Achnanthidium minutissimum and Rhoicosphenia abbreviata were found as the epilithic dominant species.
