Abstract (EN)

The fast improvements in the area of information and communication technologies had launched a multi-dimensional period of change and transformation on economical, social and political aspects; and emphasized the fact that the common usage of computer is more than a significance of this era in every area of the daily life of human being. Electronic trade has played an important role in the establishment of economical development, competitive advantage and social wellness; and had become indispensible in the global management. The goals and purposes of this thesis are to point the e-trade operations of Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMSEs) out, to evaluate the level of activity of their e-trade usage and to determine the ideal level of active usage of e-trade in order to maximize the productivity and profitability based upon the information provided by a detailed research and an effective survey. Nonetheless, it is impossible to have a significant place in the highly competitive global market without using e-trade from now on. In this case, SMSEs should follow the fast-paced improving information and communication technologies in order to increase their competitive power and keep their appereances in the global competition. The general structure of this thesis is in the style of deduction and the thesis has four sections. At this point, the first section gives the general information about the SMSEs, the second section identifies the situation of the SMSEs in the world, the third section describes the concept of globalization, the electronic trade, the role and significance of e-trade in the globalization process of the SMSEs; lastly, there are detailed research and survey about the companies? transition period to the electronic trade in the city of Van and the results of the mentioned survey at the forth section of the thesis.
