Abstract (EN)

The study area is located on and around Çiftehan town of Niğde province in Central Anatolian Region, and inside Koçak, Muradı, Elmalı villages.Mesozoic aged sandstone-shale and limestones with volcanic intrusions mostly occupy the investigation area.Volcanic rocks which are majority of our study area derived as spilit, altered andesite, diorite and tracite as to field and microscopic investigations. On the other hand, pillow lava flows outcrop on south side and north of the study area. Tracitic and dioritic dikes are of flatly cooling surfaces and were generated generally with east-west trend.Mesozoic aged sedimentary units are layered and alternated on the area.Key Words: Çiftehan, Spilite, Trakite, Diorite, Pillow lava.
