Van's İpek Yolu region, which has seen the greatest urbanization, is an appropriate case study for this study. The study focuses on the intricate relationships between a person's subjective choices and societal expectations, the function of the root family, and the impact of the social structure on this process. The process of change and adaptation of traditional values in the modernization process was observed, and the effects of these tensions on individuals were analyzed. Using the qualitative research method, it was examined how family conflicts intensify at the intersections of traditional norms and urban culture. It also examined the factors that underlie these conflicts and the effects these tensions have on individuals. talked about how it affects dynamics. The study showed that when traditional values and urban culture clashed, there was an increase in domestic tensions.
