The hydrochemical research of the Kokar spring source (Ceyhan-Adana)

In this study, determination was aimed for the hydrochemical features of the water from Kokar spring in the village named as Küçükburhaniye of Ceyhan, Adana. The study area covers the region which is located on the nortwest side of the of village Küçükburhaniye which belongs to town of Ceyhan in the city of Adana. The area,where the researches took place, brings about the alluvium matends which denote a very large spread and have limestones as in up cretes belonging to formation called as And r n.In the conclusion of analysis, the ions which exist in the spring water are mostly sodiumand bicarbonates. In relation with the results of the chemical analysis the anion-cations origins were stated. With the help of these data, the relation of the water chemical composition with synthsis litologicy were adjusted by Piper, Schoeller, U.S.A. Salinity, Wilcox Giggenbach Triangle and Pie Diagrams High salinity was observed in the regionof C3S2 in the and of the analysis which was obtained in the diagram of U.S.A. salinity laboratory and it was in very well-well water category in the Schoeller Diagram. According to the Pie Diagram, Sodium, Clor, Bicarbonade, Calcium, Sulfade and Magnesium can be suggested in the rank as they are noted here. Because the eprina water exists in the second region according to the Pie Diagram, in this region water alkalies are more than soil alkalies in number. They are in the cold water group in Giggenbach Diagram. Ions of Zinc (Zn), Copper(Cu), Aluminium were observed in the analysis of heavy metals and the other heavy metal ions were not observed.
