Abstract (EN)
This thesis study investigates the reflections of the slave-master dialectic in Jean Genet's play "The Maids". The existential structures observed in the construction of the characters are associated with the concept of death, which is seen as freedom. The study is grounded in the views of various philosophers and psychoanalysts within the scope of the related concepts. Symbols in "The Maids" are examined in the context of related concepts and their place within the dramaturgy of the play. The symbols in "The Maids" are considered in relation to related concepts and are included in the play's dramaturgy.
