Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, a total of 28 models were designed in the ABAQUS/CAE program. The first 14 models include the validation of experiments taken from articles in the literature using ABAQUS models. The first three experiments named reference models include two models with closely spaced stirrups in the column, with spacings of 5 and 8 cm, respectively, and the third one is designed without stirrups. The other models consist of strengthening studies carried out with different diameter ribbed steel bars and CFRP rolls in the joint region without stirrups, based on the reference experiments. In the steel strengthening studies, ribbed steel bars were placed diagonally in the joint region and fixed to the corner brackets of the beam-column joint using welding and bolts. This way, the contribution of different types of steel reinforcements to the strength was investigated in the joint region without stirrups. In the CFRP strengthening series, CFRP rolls were placed diagonally in the joint region without stirrups, and these rolls were fixed to the CFRP fan layers and wraps in the beam-column joint region with epoxy. After the models were validated with experimental results, a second series of 14 models were designed using the ABAQUS program. In these models, the first two include closely spaced stirrups in the beam to investigate the contribution of the amount of stirrups to the strength. To investigate the contribution of CFRP material to the strength and behavior in the joint region, 12 more models were designed on the wrapped model from the CFRP strengthening models, with different jacketing techniques and 5, 8, and 10 layers of CFRP, and named as CFRP research models. The data of the models designed in the ABAQUS/CAE program were compared with the experimental results, and the obtained data were found to be similar.
