Bibliometric analysis of studies in the field of digital transformation in the hospitality industry

The First Industrial Revolution, which started with the use of steam power, and the technological developments that followed facilitated and improved the daily work of people and the business skills of sectors in all areas of life all over the world. These conveniences and technologies, which are integrated into life at every point, also express the foundations of digital transformation. While processes in all business lines are digitized in line with the developing technology, the tourism industry has inevitably been affected by these developments. As should be done by all businesses that do not want to lose their competitive advantage, businesses in the hotel industry have had to integrate their digitalization activities into their planning. This study aims to compile a total of 146 studies in the WoS database, which deals with the theme of digital transformation in the hospitality industry, using bibliometric methods. As a result of the compiled studies, it is seen that the researches in this field have intensified since 2018 and mostly focused on the topics of accommodation, technology, performance, impact, innovation, tourism, digital sky research, information technologies, management and transformation. Within the scope of the research, in addition to this information, various bibliometric results such as keywords, publication years, author information, citation numbers and journal data were also obtained.
