Abstract (EN)
It is crucial to identify the current status of financial and strategic planning in a business process, to keep trace of change over time in a business operation. From this perspective, partial or holistic performance evaluations and productivity analyses can be essential for improving the flow of operations. Such performance assessments can also help the management to clearly envision its mission, objectives and strategies. There are a number of methods that can be used in such performance evaluations. First, the management should decide on the appropriate methodology by taking into account the focus of the main aspects such as operation, finance or quality and characteristics of the business. This study used "objectives matrix method" with "analytic hierarchy process" method to evaluate the container port's performance. Performance index, which is the result of performance evaluation, is beneficial to the management in determining the progressive plans and investments.
