Abstract (EN)

Housing is one of the basic needs of human beings. In today's world, where change is inevitable, the necessity for the housing to adapt to change has emerged as the needs and requests of humans change and diversity. It is possible with flexible design that the housing can completely respond to changing needs and that the spaces in it can adapt to different functions. The aim of the study is to reveal the need for flexible design of the housing and to evaluate flexible usage preferences based on user views. For that reason , flexible housing has been examined and a survey has been made to determine the flexible usage preferences of housing users living in our country. As a result, it has been determined that there is a need for flexible design in the housing, that the flexible design satisfies the user expectations in terms of the sustainability of the housing, and that the flexibility expected from the housing is more spatial-dimensional.
