Abstract (EN)
Conventional cementitious compounds are the most commonly used building materials in nowadays. However, with the developing technology, innovative steps have been started in the building sector. Currently, studies are being carried out to improve existing properties of building materials being used and to provide new additional features. In this thesis study, it is aimed to decrease the self loads of conventional cementitious mixes and improve the thermal and durability properties. In this direction, pumice and zeolite lightweight aggregates were combined in varying percentages by volum to produce mortar samples. In order to observe the effects of different curing effects on the mechanical and durability properties, the samples were cured in three different environments: normal (standard) curing, hot water curing and steam curing. Chemical compositions of the components were investigated by X-ray fluorescence analysis (XRF), minerological structures X-ray diffractometry (XRD) methods. The internal structure of the hardened mortar specimens was examined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and mechanical and durability test results were tried to be supported. KEYWORDS: Durability, hot water curing, pumice, mechanical properties, physical properties, steam curing, zeolite.
