Abstract (EN)

During the investigation, the limited literature on physical properties of the organic cotton yarns occured as a main problem. So that, the aim of the this project is detarmination and comparasion of unevenness, hairiness, strength and elasticity of the convensional and organic combed cotton yarns. The main subject of the investigation is conventional and organic combed cotton yarns. Selected samples are taken from the conventional(Greek) and organic(Nazilli) Ne 20/1, Ne 23/1, Ne 30/1 and Ne 40/1 combed cotton yarns production line, which is produced in as possible as equal production conditions in Eren Tekstil Industry Trade Incorporated Company. The unevenness and featheriness of the yarns are tested by using Uster Tester 3, and strength and elasticity of it is tested by using Uster Tenso Rapid.SPSS statistical program used for statistical analysis and avarage value of the data and the result of the t -test are taken from this program after that the findings are evaluated in 0,01 and 0,05 meaningfulness level. In Conclusion, according to the test results, unevenness and hairiness test result of the organic combed cotton yarns found same at the all numbers of yarns. Strenght for Ne 20/1, Ne 24/1 and Ne 30/1 yarns were high. Elasticity were lower than conventional combed cotton yarns at all the numbers.
