Evaluation of ground water quality and treatability with membrane applications in coal fields in Konya-Karaman region

The study area is in the license area of Mineral Research and Exploration (MTA) institution within the borders of Karapınar District of Konya Province and has a wide coal distribution. Hydrogeological preliminary and detailed studies have been carried out for the drainage of groundwater, which may pose a problem in terms of underground management in the aforementioned area, possible hydrogeological effects that may be encountered during the coal production activities to be carried out in this region in the following years have been determined, and in order to solve these effects in an appropriate and economical way in terms of environment and public health.
