Abstract (EN)

Beşkonak – Köprüçay, whose region is Working, is in the east of Antalya. Rafting tourism is common in the region. The number of tourists who come for rafting in Beşkonak has exceeded 1.5 million. It was important in the studies carried out to reveal the heavy metal content in the region and whether the water threatens human health. The samples taken in the studies were taken in a systematic way. pH, conductivity, hardness, salinity and EDTA values were checked on the water samples taken. Sieve analysis, heat loss, XRF analysis were performed on the sediment samples taken. Considering the findings obtained together with the literature studies, information about the heavy metal content was obtained. In order not to affect the rafting tourism, which attracts great attention of local and foreign tourists in Köprüçay - Beşkonak, data were obtained with analysis, measurement, and calculations to reveal the effects of heavy metal contents in the sediments on our health. Considering the number of tourists visiting the study area every year, it is important to carry out heavy metal content and water analysis regularly and to prevent situations that will lead to pollution.
