The ornaments Corinthian in ceramics and their adjustments to orjinal forms

Corithian which is an important port city in Ancient Age, began to develope a unique ceramic art from the thirt quarter of the century B.C. It is used in Greek world until the end of 6th. century B.C. The name of the city of Korinthos was located north of Peloponnessus where it is produced.Since the mid-century of 8th. B.C. Corinthian pottery reached a level superior in terms of form and style. The masters who were Corithian , rapidy away from geometric tradition and entered the new trend in the last decade of the 8th B.C. The Corinthian Late Geometric vases which were well formed and decoreted in a specific order, were started to trial on the rounded figures. Initially, the Corinthian artists painted sea birds then they were effected by Late Hititite style and began to painted human figures, lion, mythological creatures on their works.According to the many researches, Corinthian pottery started to export to the other cities in mid-century of 8th. B.C. Today, Corinthian pottery have been recovered in many excavation carried out in Anatolia.
