Abstract (EN)

In this study, in patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) patients before and after surgery and control groups were determinated antioxidant enzyme activities, MDA, GSH, TAS, TOS, OSI, total sialic acid, lipid bound sialic acid, some trace elements (As, Be, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Li, Mg, Pb, Sb, Se, Sr, Ti, V, Zn) and mineral (Ca, Na, Cl, K) and some biochemical parameters levels also determined, also, correlations between the parameters were evaluated relationship wıth coronary artery disease As a result of the analysis, it was found that Before Surgery (BS1) group was significantly higher than the control group with respect to MDA, TSA, OSI levels (p<0.05, p<0.05, p<0.05 respectively). After Surgery (AS1) group was significantly lower than control group regards to GSH, GSH-Px, CAT and TAS (p<0.001, p<0.01, p<0.01, p<0.01 respectively). At the same time, AS7 group was significantly higher than control group regarding MDA, TSA, LSA, TOS, OSI values, (p<0.001, p<0.01, p<0.001, p<0.01, p<0.001 respectively), whereas, GSH, CAT, TAS values lower than the control (p<0.001, p<0.05, p<0.01). On the other hand AS7group was significantly higher than control group respect to MDA, TSA, OSI values, (p<0.01, p<0.05, p<0.01), also AS7 group GSH, CAT, TAS values, (p<0.05, p<0.05, p<0.01) significantly higher than control group. Similarly, im AS1 group GSH value significant lower (p<0.001), than AS7 groups, also respect to , LSA value, significant increased (p<0.01). Moreover, BS1 group was significantly lower than control group respect to Co, Cu, Mg, Se, V, Zn (p<0.01, p<0.01, p<0.01, p<0.01, p<0.05, p<0.001), also AS1 group regarding Co, Cu, Mg, Se, V, Zn values significantly decreased (p<0.01, p<0.05, p<0.05, p<0.01, p<0.05, p<0.001), additionally in AS7 group respect to Co, Se, V, Zn values significantly decreased (p<0.05, p<0.05, p<0.05, p<0.01). Otherwise, CAD group was significantly lower than the control group with respect to Ca and Cl levels (p<0.01, p<0.001). As a result; Hyperglyceridemia and increased total cholesterol/HDL ratio indicate increased risk of CAD. In the correlation analyzes, LDL–cholesterol, triglyceride–Ca, SOD–Zn, CRP–albumin and cholesterol–Cu were statistically significant (p<0,01, p<0,05, p<0,05, p<0,05, p<0,05, respectively). It is thought that measurements of LDL, cholesterol, triglyceride and CRP together with parameters as well as Cu, Ca and SOD data should be measured following the CAD disease stage. It is also considered that measurement of TSA and MDA values would be appropriate as a marker in determining CAD disease.
