Özet (EN)

Coronary artery disease (CAD) is the most common cause of atherosclerosis lipoprotein particles in a solid and / or through the intima layer of the accumulation of dysfunctional vascular endothelium is an inflammatory event. The enzyme myeloperoxidase (MPO), immune system and plays an important role in regulation of inflammatory leukocytes from MPO, an enzyme gene polymorphism and especially the GG genotype, coronary artery disease (CAD) is shown to be an important determinant. Working group with coronary heart disease and 88 controls of 88. Plasma myeloperoxidase gene polymorphism is determined by applying PCR myeloperoxidase (MPO) and Matrix Metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) was measured using ELISA method. As a result of an experimental study of the MPO gene polymorphism genotype frequency in patients with coronary artery; GG 72.7%, AG 23.9% AA 3.4% in the control group, GG 71.6%, AG 26.1% AA 2.3%, respectively. In both groups, the MPO gene polymorphism genotype and allele frequencies were compared, no statistically significant difference was found (p>0.05). Coronary artery disease and the control group in terms of demographic characteristics were compared in patients with coronary artery age and total cholesterol levels were increased (p<0.001), in addition to smoking, systolic blood pressure, and LDL cholesterol levels increased was found (p <0.05) and the changes were statistically significant. Gender, diastolic blood pressure, hypertension, triglycerides, HDL cholesterol, and VLDL cholesterol levels did not differ significantly between the groups(p>0.05). Plasma MPO and MMP-9 levels in the patient group compared with the control and coronary artery; MPO levels was statistically significantly increased in the patient group (p <0.05). Plasma MMP-9 levels in patients with coronary artery is decreased and this change was not statistically significant (p>0.05). This study is a pilot study of individuals living in Elazig is considered to contribute to the results of other studies in this subject. Keywords: Coronary Artery Disease, MPO gene polymorphism, Infection MPO, MMP-9
