Abstract (EN)

AIM: Inourstudy, we aim ed to investigatetheanxietyanddepressionstatus of patients who had a history of Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) due to cardiovascular disease (CVD) between 01.10.2018 and 01.01.2019 andwhoappliedtotheemergencydepartmentwithchestpain. Inthisway, it will be possibletoconductpreventivestudies on patients who havesimilarstoriesandwhoareaffectedbytheirpsychologicalconditionsandtoincreasetheawareness of thephysiciansandpatientsserving in thisfield. Material and Method: Thestudyincluded 200 patientswithchestpainwhopresented Gaziantep UniversityŞahinbey ResearchandPracticeHospitalAdultEmergencyDepartment,had a history of acutecoronarysyndromesand / orwho had a history of coronaryangiographybetweenthedates of 01.10.2018 and 01.01.2019.A two-pagequestionnaire (HAD scale) wasperformed. Therewere 14 questions in eachsurveyand 4 differentoptions in eachquestion. Patients; theseoptionswereaskedto mark onlyoneoptionthatwasmostappropriatetothem. Blood troponinvalueswerealsorecorded. Theresultswereanalyzedusing SPSS 18.0 program. Results: 200 patientswhoappliedtoourEmergencyDepartmentbetween 01.10.2018 and 01.01.2019 wereincluded in thestudy. A two-pagequestionnaire (HAD scale) wasperformed. Blood troponinresultswererecordedduringadmission. Themeanage of thepatientswas 60,91 ± 14,13 and 138 weremale. There was nostatisticallysignificantrelationshipbetweenanxiety / depressionscoresandtroponinresultsoroutcomestatus (discharge, cardiology service / coronary ICU, death). Discussion and Conclusion: Ifpatientswithcoronaryarterydisease (CAD) experiencechestpain, thereferralcentersareEmergency Services. Therefore, it is importantthattheEmergency Service physicianshavetheknowledgeandawarenessaboutthementalstatus of thepatients. Inparticular, it should be kept in mindthat in caseswherenocardiacpathology is detected in theresults of theexamination but thepatient'scomplaintspersist, thepersonmay be in thestate of anxiety / depression.
