Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, we consider one of the partial differential equations, which is the Korteweg de Vries equation (KdV). The equation is obtained by using the Lax method and the AKNS method. Furthermore, we describe the inverse scattering transform to solve the initial-value problem and derive the soliton solution to the KdV equation.
