Abstract (EN)

Children need a warm family environment that will meet their social and financial needs to protect, love and, support them for their healthy development. But children somehow who have lost their parents or are not cared for by their parents are taken under state protection and grow up deprived of a warm family environment. In our country, the most preferred model is for children placed under state protection to grow up in a healthy family environment is in foster care as in the entire world. The Foster family model has a great effect on children and foster families. One of the reasons why this model has a poor impact is that the process of matching is not performed sensitive manner. In the current matching process, only the document submission date of the candidates applying for the foster family is taken into account, and not all individuals can be matched and evaluated at the same time. In the study, as a result of the interviews with the Trabzon Provincial Directorate of Family, Labor and, Social Services, the criteria that are effective in the matching of families and children were determined. An information system in which Max100 method, TOPSIS method and, Gale-Shapley algorithm can be used in combination is proposed in order to determine the most appropriate family and child match in the foster family process and to support the decisions to be made. The proposed information system and, the results were evaluated.
