Semantic changes from Kipchak Turkish to Kazakh Turkish

Like everything in nature, the language also renews itself. These changes in the language, which is the basic communication tool between people, have attracted the attention of researchers from the beginning to the present. In this study, firstly the semantic changes from Old Kipchak Turkish to Kazakh Turkish are discussed. In the study, the words which were used in Kipchak Turkish and which were not used in the written language of Kazakh Turkish were determined. Then, the common words of Kipchak Turkish - Kazakh Turkish were determined and the meanings of these words used in Kazakh Turkish were examined in comparison with Kipchak Turkish in terms of semantic science (meaning narrowing, meaning expansion, transition to another meaning, improvement of meaning and worsening of meaning). In the study, for the Kipchak Turkish, the words which in Recep Toparlı's "Kıpçak Türkçesi Sözlüğü" work were compared with Kenan Koç's "Kazakşa Türikşe Sözdik and Türikşe Kazakşa Sözdik" works. The common words are given in the form of Kipchak Turkish - Kazakh Turkish. In addition, common words were compared with қазақ тілінің түсіндірме сөздігі (Ḳazaḳ Tiliniñ Tüsindirme Sözdigi) in terms of meaning scope when needed. While Kipchak Turkish - Kazakh Turkish words were detecting it was considered the language was a living entity. The common words were examined only in terms of semantic changes and the etymology information of the words was not mentioned.
