A research on the socio-economic structure of families who migrated from rural to rural: Cırık village-Adana example

Enver ORHAN The research was conducted in Cmk village which is located in Karataş, Adana, in 1999. Cınk is a plain village which is 33 km's far from Adana. Cırık has been lost its own population because of migration movements from Cınk to Adana {rural to urban) during the 1950, and now it was become a typical South Eastern village since intensive migration from South Eastern Region (rural to rural). In this study, some generalizations about migration has been made depend on the results of the inventigation of socio-economic structure of village, rural to rural migration facts and temporary agricultural work (or seasonal work) and so forth. Besides these, migration fact which is very important problem for Turkey was also investigated.
