The evaluation of Kırkambar journal in terms of education facts

Science and Education has an important place in the Turkish idea's world and culture which have been changing and improving with the Tanzimat period. With this study, we discuss Kırkambar Journal which has reached a lot of readers at the period of Ahmed Midhat Efendi, who is an important figure in the history of the Turkish press. This journal was designed in its period to educate the public and teach the new items them.In the first part of this study, we made a general introduction to the history of the Turkish press and broadcasting up to Kırkambar magazine?s period. Then, we told Ahmet Midhat Efendi's life briefly. We presented information about Kırkambar magazine in the following section of this chapter.In the second section, we touched on the educational aspects which are main subjects of our study. The first of all, we evaluated articles about education in the magazine. Later, we created the literary part as an element of education. After this session, we wrote the philosophy part as an element of education. After this chapter, we consider other topics as an element of education. We analyzed it in two parts as social sciences and physical sciences.In the conclusion we evaluated the current cultural activities of the period within the framework of Kırkambar on making evaluations. In addition, we were detecting some determinations by mentioning some social problems.
