Educational geography of Kırıkhan (Hatay) metropalitan district

In this era when we experience the age of technology and space, the most vital factor in the development of countries is undoubtedly well-trained and educated people. People who do not always have sufficient knowledge in their fields can never help themselves or the development of their own countries in this century of technology and space age. In this period when the knowledge, science and technology is constantly changing, if individuals follow new developments and also protect their own cultural values in the light of that information, they can preserve the existence and the unity of their country. Education level and quality are the most important distinguishing criteria used in the underdeveloped, underdeveloped and developed societies. For this reason, the geographical distribution and analysis of services related to increasing the level and quality in education in the whole or any part of the world constitute the economic geography whereas the spatial distribution and analysis of the level and quality that arise in relation to the population according to this infrastructure constitutes the social geoghraphy. Indeed, the geographical conditions, the level of education and the distribution of education are associated with one another. The number of schools, classrooms, teachers at formal education levels, literacy status and schooling rates in Kırıkhan district and its villages were analyzed in terms of educational geography in this study, and comparisons were made with the city and country in general. Thus, it was tried to determine the place of Kırıkhan district, which is one of the aims of the study. Furthermore, it has been tried to find rational solutions to educational problems by revealing the positive and negative effects of the physical and human environmental characteristics of Kırıkhan district on education. As a result, this study has been prepared with the wish to see what the education problems of Kırıkhan are and to be the beginning of a solution to these problems.
