Abstract (EN)

This study was conducted to determine some yield and quality characteristics of Hungarian vetch (HV) and forage pea (FP) intercropping with triticale (T) in ecological condition of Kırıkkale during the 2017-2018 vegatation period. Plants were grown as monocrop and legumes + cereals mixtures with four different seeding rates (80:20, 70:30, 60:40 and 50:50% respectively). The experiment was arranged in randomized blocks design with three replications. The mixtures were harvested based on cereal that milk dough stage, while the sole legumes were harvested at exact shape formation period of seeds in the bottom pods. In the study, hay yield, crude protein yield, crude protein ratio, Relative Feed Value with ADF, NDF, Ca, P, K, Mg content were investigated. The hay yield and crude protein ratio ranged from 608.4 – 118.4 kg/da and 20.60 – 14.21 %, respectively. The highest protein yield were determined in sole triticale (87.15 kg/da) and 70HV+30T (71.28 kg/da), while the lowest was in sole forage pea (23.38 kg/da). ADF, NDF, K, P, Ca and Mg contents were ranged 25.17-34.33%, 40.50-59.16%, 1.500-1.736%, 0.349-0.403%, 0.390-1.289% and 0.122-0.289% of respectively. Considering the mixtures, the suitable mixtures in 70 Hungarian Wetch and 30 Triticale % can be recommended in terms of hay yield and quality in Kırıkkale ecological conditions.
