Abstract (EN)
Introduction and Aim: Pegylated interferon (Peg-IFN) and ribavirin have been used for many years in the treatment of chronic hepatitis C (CHC) infection.Recently, increased knowledge about hepatitis C virus (HCV) has led to the development of new direct acting antiviralagents (DAA) and which achieved sustained virological response (SVR) rates in excess of 95%.The aim of our study is to investigate the efficacy and safety of treatments includingDAA agents such as paritaprevir / ritonavir / ombitasvir + dasabuvir (PrOD) and ledipasvir / sofosbuvir (Led + Sof) . Materials and Methods:203 patients were included in the study who had PrOD, PrO, Led + Sof or Sof treatment with KHC and were seen in Gastroenterology, Hepatology or Infection clinics between June 2016 and February 2017 retrospectively. The diagnosis of KHC was made with serological and molecular findings. One of the current treatment regimens was given to patients for 12 or 24 weeks. Results: 203 patients were recruited to the study.20 of the patients (9.9%) were genotype 1a, 181 patients (89.2%) were genotype 1b, 1 patient (0.5%) was genotype 2a and 1 patient (0.5%) was genotype 4a. Treatment regimens were as follows: 10 patients (4.9%) -Led + Sof for 12 weeks,57 (28.1%) patients - Led + Sof for 24 weeks 26 (12.8%) patients - Led + Sof + Rfor 12 weeks , 1 patient (0.5%) - Sof for 12 weeks , 101 patients (49.8%) - PrOD for 12 weeks , 7 patients (3.4%) - PrOD + R for 12 weeks and 1 patients (0.5%) -PrO + R for 12 weeks . In patients with Led + Sof ± R, the SVR was 97.9%, while it was 100% in patients who received PrOD ± R.Cirrhosis was the only factor affecting SVR. Cirrhosis was present in 2 patients who could not reach the SVR. At least 1 adverse effect was seen in 73 (37.4%) of patients. Adverse effect leading to treatment discontinuation was observed in2 (1%) patients.who both were in the group receiving PrOD ± R. Conclusion: In patients with KHC, paritaprevir / ritonavir / ombitasvir + dasabuvir and ledipasvir / sofosbuvir treatments are effective and reliable treatments today and offer great hope. Key words: Chronic hepatitis C infection, paritaprevir / ritonavir / ombitasvir + dasabuvir, ledipasvir / sofosbuvir, sustained virological response.
