Özet (EN)

Initial Periodontal Treatment Combined With the Use of Antibiotics; in Chronic Periodontitis Patients, the Effects of Frequency of Diarrhea and Clinic Parametres Periodontal diseases; Enflammatory and infectious diseases which are multifactorial, polymicrobiyal, poligenic, and resulting in destruction of tooth and ımplant supporting tissues, affected by various enviromental and local factors. The main factor of periodontal diseas is microbial dental plaque. Standard periodontal therapy is focussed on eradication of micro-organisms by mechanical subgingival debridement. At this point the treatment of the disease based on mechanical removal of subgingival and supragingival biofilms from colonized teeth and root surfaces in order to arrest and control inflammatory processes. Since oral cavity has unique environment, periordontopathogens were found to colonize nearly all niches in the oral cavity. A translocation of these pathogens may occur rapidly and recently root planed deep pocket might be re colonized from the remaining untreated pockets or from other inraoral niches, before a less pathogen The use of antibiotics in periodontal disease is based on the idea of the character of these infectious diseases.ic ecosystem can be established. The benefits of periodontal treatment on antibiotic use has been proven in periodontal literatüre. Especially in mixed infection of a single antibiotic that many bacteria responsible for all pathogens seems to be effective. Based on this view, the combined use of drugs has been raised. Based on this hypothesis effect on the incidence of diarrhea in patients with periodontitis to the beginning of periodontal therapy combined with antibiotic use and clinical outcomes are being investigated. 50 systemically healty patients with cronic periodontitis were included the study. Initial periodontal therapy was planned to be finished in two days. All patients' treatment was started after recording initial clinical measurements (pocket depth, attachment loss, gingival recession, gingival index). The first day of the treatment Largopen 1000 mg tablets 2xq and Flagyl 500 mg tablets 3x1 were applied to the patients for 7 days. Bristol diarrhea indeks form also were given to the all patients. The clinical measurements recording and were repeated at 4th. At the end of the 4 weeks, the clinical data were statistically analyzed. The results of this study showed that treatment groups provided statistically significant improvement on periodontal health while there were no differances between groups. However, the delta value indicative of the difference between starting and week 12 data, no diarrhea in the group; in pocket depth and bleeding index according to the initial parameters it has been determined significantly greater reduction. In our study; differences in baseline clinical parameters were detected between the two countries and these differences pocket depth, clinical attachment level, gingival recession, gingival bleeding index values between withdrawal and were statistically significant. This situation is due to more advanced chronic periodontitis patients participating in the study in Turkey. 12 weeks were just clinical attachment level and gingival differences between withdrawal parameters. Key Words: Chronic periodontitis, periodontal therapy, infectious disease, antibiotics, diarrhea
