Taxonomic and morphologic studies on the family Curculionidae (Coleoptera) of Kirşehir city

Abstract (EN)

In this study, systematics and distribution of the samples which belong to Curculionidae (Coleoptera) family were investigated. The samples were collected from Kırşehir city between Mayıs and August in 2013-2014. As a result, a total of 406 samples including 234 females and 172 males were evaluated. In this way, 7 subfamilies, 27 genera and 42 species were identified. Baris atricolor, Trichosirocalus horridus, Cionus distinctus, Cionus olivieri, Cionus wittei, Curculio nucum, Curculio venosus, Gymnaetron tibiellum, Sibinia viscariae, Tychius aureolus, Strophomorphus ctenotus, Myorrhinus albolineatus, Oedecnemidius pictus, Oedecnemidius saltuarius, Parascythropus mirandus, Phyllobius fulvago, Phyllobius maculicornis, Polydrusus gracilicornis, Sitona puncticollis, Brachypera zoilus, Hypera nigrirostris, Cleonus piger, Pachycerus segnis, Larinus sturnus, Lixus algirus, Bangasternus orientalis, Magdalis coeruleipennis and Magdalis rufa were recorded for the first time in study area. However, the definitions of the identified species, distribution of species in the world and Turkey, information about localities of them, and male and female photos of them were provided.
