Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study was to determine yield and quality characteristics of different mixture ratios of pea and triticale in Kırşehir conditions. In this study, Taşkent pea and Tatlıcak-97 triticale varieties were used as plant material. This work was conducted in a randomized block design in the field trial area of Ahi Evran University during the vegetation period of 2013-2014. Herbage, dry matter and crude protein yields of pure sowed and mixtures were determined between 1204.4-1908.9 kg, 315.4-792.8 kg and 51.80-106.77 kg per acre, respectively. Crude protein, ADF, NDF, ADL ratios and LER values of examined species and mixtures were ranged between 12.07-17.34%, 25.94-33.17%, 36.38-47.96%, 4.74-6.68%and 1.04-1.58 respectively. The highest herbage, dry matter and crude protein yields were obtained from 30%pea+70%triticale mixture when compared to other pure sowed species and mixtures. To conclude, this mixture can be suggested to produce high quality forage in Kırşehir conditions.
