Kıssa-i Anter volume 5 (text-review-dictionary)

The work I have been working on was written in the 16th century and it tells the stories of Anter bin Şeddad, who is famous in the Arab community.This work is the 5th volume of the volumes in which Anter stories are told, and the work consists of 336 leaves. The work, whose translator is unknown, was translated into Turkish in 1477 at the request of Fatih Sultan Mehmet.The work we studied was completed in 1568. The work has 35 known manuscripts. The copies of the work, which have copies in Turkey, France and Egypt, are in the Topkapı Place Museum Library and Ankara University Library. Our work, which is the 5th volume of Kıssa-i Anter, is in the Topkapı Palace Museum Library. In the work, which is registered with the archive number K. 890, different stories are told and information about Arab culture and civilization is obtained in these stories, and we learn about Anter's heroism with excitement. İn the text, the stories are not independent from each other, but they do not have a completely connected nature. In the stories, the moments when Anter rushes from one hero to another heroism are told, and thanks to the rich narrative power of the narrator, an immersive and exciting narrative style is encountered while the stories are being read. It is possible to collect the stories under the following headings:Stories of Anter, Zü'l-Himar and Gamra; The Story of Anter and the Generous Hatem; The Story Mecid, Esma and Meysere; The Story of Anter, Melik Numan, Hani bin Kidnapping of Esma. Our study consists of 4 main parts: In the first part, Anter bin Şeddad's life, information about the author of the text;In the second part, the analysis of the text of volume 5 in the third partİ In the fourth part, there is a dictionary study. The work, which belongs to the Old Anatolian Turkish period and has a rich vocabulary, is a cultural asset and a language treasure with its volume and expression.
