The use of assembling technique from cubism to video sculpture in sculpture

The developments in science, technology and industry have affected the art and caused the artists to seek different searches. A wide range of materials and objects were used in the assemblage technique developed as a form of artistic production in search of a third dimension. These studies on bringing objects together as art objects in sculpture, It started with Duchamp's ordinary objects and Picasso's use of these objects in his works, It has set an example for the works performed by the following artists in the assemblage technique. When the preferred material is combined on an object or in a space, they become elements of a whole. Assemblage, which is one of the preferred applications in this combination, is a technique that marks the Modern Age. While the materials used in the technique take their place as industrial, technological, find, daily use objects, they are also defined as ordinary objects. The interventions made with the object and the materials used are in the name of strengthening the content. The purpose of this study is to examine the sculpting technique and the sculpting practices of the technique in the Modern Age. In line with the aim in question, the changes that the period defined as Modernism on society and art were examined, especially from the Cubism movement, Video In art movements that took place until the art, the assemblage technique used in the sculptures was researched and the works of the major artists were examined.
