Literature is always a sociological instrument reflecting social events. As a descriptive art, literature deals with social events, interpersonal and intercultural interactions, is the most important instrument describing social transformations in different periods of history, has an active relation with Tourism Science indirectly. The relation between Literature and Tourism set the people up in travelling the cities, towns, hotels and the other places where the author lived or being as a point of any articles. Today, people who want to move beyond the classical understanding of tourism, may be active in determining the direction of international travel. Literature will be able to promote tourism is a cultural asset and now literary tourism applications are available in many countries such as France, England, Ireland, Russia. The main purpose of this study, the importance of this study explained above, to disclose how and for what reasons literary tourism are applied on hotel businesses and tourists, to determine the impact on the hotel business and to reveal profile of literary tourist through the business manager eyes in Turkey and is to reveal consumers' attitudes towards tourism literature. For this purpose, questionnaire was made 450 tourists, who visited İstanbul, Sultanahmet District and elected by judgmental sampling method. Thus, the tourists tried to determine their thoughts on the literatüre tourism. Poetry Boutique Hotel is located in Denizli selected as example and the experiences of literary tourism that bring to the hotel business will be determined from the perspective of example hotel managers with one to one interviews. The study is a mixed methods research. This study consist of five chapters. In the first chapter, the problem of study, the aim and importance, assumptions and limitations are described and hypotheses are stated. In the second chapter, Defining literary tourism and literary place; The consumers of literary heritage and culture (Literary Tourists); The characteristics of literary tourism attractions; The history and development of literary tourism; and the marketing of literature are explained. In the third chapter, research methods and techniques are explained. In the fourth chapter, the research findings are presented and hypotheses are tested. In the fifth and final chapter, the results of the study was interpreted as a whole and some suggestions have been proposed.
