Digression in Künhü'l-ahbâr's tezkire part

In this study, digression of Künhü?l-ahbâr parts were determined and classified upon their subjects. Aim of this is study is to reveal the style characteristics of digressions and expose their contribution to the piece. With this, the role of digression, as one of the supplementary subjects of style in tezkire tradition, is tried to be shown.In the Introduction part, it is focused on the formation process of Tezkire, by mentioning the 16th Century tezkires. Also, explaining the concept of digression, the introduction of Künhü?l-ahbâr and information about the usage of digression in Künhü?l- ahbâr is given here.The digressions, determined in the analysis part, are classified upon their subjects. Also, some expressions which reflect the social feature of the period are shown in the footnotes of texts, which are translated to present day Turkish language. It was tried to determine the features of language and expression of digressions, and also to make comparison with other digressions, that contain the same information as tezkires Sehî Beg and Latîfî, which are some other tezkires of 16th Century.In the conclusion part, the findings achieved from the study are presented and that it has been benefitted from the usage of digression, as a writing style in the piece, is emphasized.
