The semantic analysis of the term discord (fitne) in the Koran

The main menings of the word Discord (Fitne) in the Koran are; to examine, pain, pressure, cruelty, touble, disaster, to torture, to cause disapproval, to cheat, sin, insanity, to give excuses, to cause a chaos, to attack, and to fight. Discord (Fitne) can also h ave different meanings according to the matter is compared with. With these peculiarities, it is one of the most important terms in the Koran.
