The narrative of the people of the Sabbath in the Quran

As it is pointed out in the Quran, the world is a place to be tested and examined. If it weren't for that, neither diseases nor griefs would exist.Therefore it is inevitable for any person alive to confront some difficulties. When the narratives in Quran are observed, it is possible to figure out that the reason of the disasters and griefs which humanity encounters is usually when they behave badly or refute the prophets, who are the messengers of Allah. In this study, first we emphasized the concept of narrative in order to create a basis for our subject and gave some general information about the narratives in Quran. Later on we enter upon the narrative of People of the Sabbath (the Saturday People) which is mentioned in several verses of Quran. We studied the divine message in detail by explaining some of the concepts in the verses in question and by covering the basic topics in these verses. Finally, we tried to conclude the subject by focusing on the wisdom and the reflection in the Muslim society by mentioning in the Quran what happened to the Sabbath (Saturday) people, the Israelites.
