The imagination of God in the period of ignorance in the con-text of the Quran

Allah, the most important element of the Islamic belief system, is the most fundamental subject of the Qur'an. The imagination of God is the most fundamental phenomenon that directly affects individuals' belief in God and determines the quality of God-human relationship. In this context, in our study, we tried to talk about the concept of God in the period of ignorance in the context of the Qur'an, which the revelation tries to construct. These studies about God generally focus on the proofs of the existence of God, his names and attributes. Starting from such a need, this thesis study aims to look at the vision of God through the window of the Qur'an. The fact that the dimension of God's imagination in the period of ignorance has not been investigated before, reveals the difference of the subject from other studies. In our study, it is aimed to deal with the belief systems mentioned in the Qur'an in Mecca and its surroundings, and the polytheists' vision of Allah in the context of verses. The reasons why the polytheist Arabs worship idols are explained with verses, and it is aimed to provide a better understanding of the Qur'an and to better know the polytheist Arabs. Since the method of tafsir on the subject was followed in our research, the main reference was the Qur'an. While explaining the concepts related to the subject, dictionaries and early commentary, narration, wisdom and modern tafsir books were consulted. Texts of books, journals, articles, theses and poems written on the subject were used. In all belief systems, there is a belief in a "Supreme Being" or "God". The basic point of the belief system of Islam, which is the religion based on the last divine revelation, is the belief in Allah.
