The concepts of nikah (marriage) and talaq (divorce) in the Qur'an

Nikah ve talaq are some of the topics which are explained in detail in the Holy Quran. In this study, we are going to talk about the way these topics have been discussed. Because, Holy Quran elaborates in detail all the needs, material and spritual of a man. It expects man to follow the examples of the nations before him that are mentioned in it. In the introduction part of this study, the etymologic analysis and some terms related to the topic have been discussed. In the first part, topics like nikah and the different ways in which it has been discussed, the stories of the marriages of the mentioned prophets, especially the marriages of prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h.) and then, when talaq was permitted, how it was practiced, have been discussed. In the second part, the interpretation of the verses related to nikah and talak, the views of the interpretors and their different opinions have been discussed. The order of the verses will be according to their juri sprudential classification. This makes it one of the examplary studies in tafseer (interpretation). Therefore, the topic-based interpretation method will be used. Related verses from different surahs will be collected and studied.
