Abstract (EN)

There are many studies performed on global climate change from the past to the present. These studies did not attract the attention of an ordinary individual until twenty years ago. In the first lots of studies, the answer to the question of "are there changes in climate" was sought. Later cause - effect relations of changes in climate were studied. In the framework of cause - effect relations, research has been carried out on adaptation and prevention issues by looking at public reflection. Then, these changes began to be studied in different areas. An investigation was made on related literature, however any published studies performed on Diyarbakir climate have not been found. In order to answer the questions of "what happened in Diyarbakir climate" and "What have to be done?" for herein first, the previous researches on the "global climate change" have been abstracted and discussed briefly. For this purpose, within a period of sixty years, analyses were made on whether the city was affected by global climate change and if it was affected, it was tried to determine in what direction and how much it took place. Numerous climatic/meteorological variables have been studied. In this study, the average daily temperature, daily maximum temperature, daily minimum temperature, daily average pressure, daily average humidity, average wind speed, maximum daily wind speed, daily total rainfall, and daily the height of the snow thickness data were used. The data have been obtained from Diyarbakır Regional Meteorological Department; Time series graphics and histograms were obtained from the data at hand. Monthly and 1960-2019 community values, sample values covering the last twenty years (2000-2019) and seasonal data covering the last five years (2015-2019), basic statistical quantities and internal dependencies up to the 5. order were calculated separately. In addition, the method of Şen trend analysis was applied to determine the trends of changes in the data over a long period of time on a daily basis. The study investigated whether there was change in the climate of the city centre, as well as how and why the change occurred. . The results of analysis of pond, dam and irrigation Area information and climatic/meteorological variables from DSI Diyarbakır Regional Directorate were examined in Excel. In the scope of this thesis, all the results of the analysis were discussed with the survey conducted on climate change to the people of Diyarbakir. These analyses and surveys showed an increase in the average, maximum and minimum temperatures in the Diyarbakir climate and this situation is felt by the public. It was determined that the pressure and humidity decreased due to being inversely proportional to the temperature. Snow and rain rainfall in both the number of days as well as the amount can be said to decrease very seriously. When the results of climatic/meteorological variables were examined with evaporation fields, it was concluded that the change was not caused by the GAP but by global warming. It was determined that the results of the analysis carried out with the survey answers also coincided with each other. The thesis consists of six main chapters. Following to the introduction, which includes the aim and the scope of the work, a large discussion made on current published studies is presented. The methodology is given in the Third chapter in detail. Chapter Four includes the results of the analyses made on the subject. The work has been concluded in the Fifth chapter. The references list is given in the last chapter.
