Abstract (EN)
The logistics sector is almost as old as the history of humanity throughout the world.In this respect, many states have aimed to establish their own fleet of logistics and haveworked in this context. Located in an important place for transit between Asia and Europe, Turkey has managed to turn this into advantage over time. In the 1990's Turkey took concrete steps in transportation. By taking much more serious steps in the 2000's, Turkey opened up in foreign trade and foreign markets. Foreign capital companies, have been considered Turkey's market as an attractive market and they started trade and logistic activities. Turkey has made a great progress, but the economic depression and regional conflict affected the foreign trade negatively. The aim of this study is to reveal the effects of KRG and Qatar crises on Turkish Logistics sector in the global crisis axis. This has been examined in the context of Opportunity Logistics as a new resource for competition analysis and literature. Within the framework of the proposed solutions and Opportunity Logistics, it is aimed to increase the Turkish logistics sector to a much better and more successful position in the future. In the first part of the thesis generally crises, economic and political crises are discussed also logistic concept and details are explained. In the second part, the relationship between global financial crisis and logistics is discussed and the development of Qatar and KRG crises are mentioned and evaluated in the context of both countries relationship with Turkey. Finally, the competitiveness in the Turkish logistics sector and the vision of the sector is discussed. Competition analysis and the factors affecting competitiveness are examined in detail and the connection between competition vision and logistics is tried to be established in this section. In addition, the strengths and weaknesses also, opportunities and threats of the Turkish logistics sector are listed and explained in the context of Opportunity Logistics in this section. The definition, details and the availability of Opportunity Logistics for countries are discussed. Also it focuses on, the effect and usage of Opportunity Logistics and the relationship of it between Qatar and KRG – Turkey, and it has been evaluated in general terms.
